Jon Rezny, Director of Purchasing

Education: B.S. Art, Coe College

Jon Rezny was a Plitt customer long before he became a Plitt employee. Jon moved from the retail side of the seafood business to wholesale when he joined Plitt as a member of the sales team in 1997. Jon quickly donned a second hat, splitting his time 50/50 between sales and buying after about six months on the job. Then, he moved into full-time buying when he was named Director of Purchasing in 1991.

Jon loves the challenge of searching out fish-especially when it becomes limited-and takes great pride in finding high-quality seafood for competitive prices. He has enjoyed being a part of the evolution of the seafood industry over the 10 years he has been with Plitt and looks forward to whatever challenges the future will bring.

After a long day of work, Jon loves nothing more than going home to his wife and two young daughters. Whether orchestrating the family's traditional Friday homemade pizza night or grilling seafood outside, Jon finds nothing relaxes him like cooking-except maybe rolling around town on his cruiser bike.
