Scott Lichterman, Buyer

Years with Plitt: 9

Scott started his career with Plitt in sales opening retail accounts. He became Inventory Manager 18 months later, and held that position for just under two years-ultimately moving into his current position as buyer in 2001. As the company underwent changes, Scott spent nine months in operations to ease the company's transition, but then came back into the buying department where he was able to use his back office knowledge to improve his communications skills. It's this kind of strong work ethic and flexibility within the organization that led to Scott being promoted to head of purchasing for our Seattle offices in February of 2007. Scott now juggles duties working to supply both the Chicago and Seattle offices with a wide variety of quality seafood at competitive prices.

Scott is just as committed to his family and spends a great deal of time with his wife and two children, while wearing a variety of different hats. Working to find a perfect balance between work and home has always been a focus for Scott.
