Tim Lathrop, President

Education: BA Business, Southern Methodist University

Tim came to The Plitt Company in 2001. Tim started in street sales, but quickly moved on to landing national accounts (including Darden and Trader Joe's). In late 2003, Tim was named Sales Manager and was promoted to Vice President in 2005. Tim made what he calls his "last move" within the company on July 16, 2006 when he was named President.

One thing that Tim truly enjoys about being Plitt's President is the way the employees genuinely care about the product that they sell and the ultimate satisfaction of their customers. Likewise, Tim appreciates the way that idea translates itself internally-with sales being a "customer" of operations and every department working hard to keep the other departments satisfied.

Tim spends plenty of weekend hours standing on the sidelines of soccer fields watching his four daughters frolicking. The only other place he would rather be is up north relaxing in the Land O'Lakes region of Michigan-where every season is his favorite.
